Touch down at Guwahati, where your driver waits to begin your Meghalaya story. The drive to Shillong is an introduction in itself — rolling hills, betel-nut groves, and the air cooling as the road climbs into the 'Scotland of the East'. En route, pause at Umiam Lake, the largest man-made reservoir in Northeast India, where still water mirrors the pine-clad hills.

What should I carry for this trip?
An authentic government ID card, good trekking shoes, high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses with UV protection, a rain jacket or poncho (this is cloud country), a power bank, a reusable water bottle, ORS/electrolytes, a torch or headlamp, and any personal medication.
What's the payment schedule?
INR 5,000 per person is due at the time of booking. Up to 60 days before departure, further payment is optional; 59–46 days before, 50% of the trip amount is compulsory; 45–31 days before, 75% is compulsory; and 30–15 days before departure, the full 100% is compulsory.
What's the cancellation policy for this trip?
This trip runs on its own cancellation schedule: up to 60 days before departure, cancellation is free with a full refund as a credit note and batch shifting is allowed; 59–46 days before, a 25% cancellation charge applies; 45–31 days before, 50%; and inside 30 days of departure, the booking is non-refundable.
Anything else I should know before booking?
Guests are required to assemble at the meeting point by 8:00 AM sharp, and group departures run strictly on time. Quoted package rates are not valid during peak periods and festivals (Diwali, Christmas, New Year). The itinerary may be adjusted based on weather conditions or government policies. The age limit for group departures is 16 to 42 years.
